    Description
    Marked on one side of the blade in large letters "A*L*E*G*A*N*D*R*O*II" with a cross. (Shown in the photos)
    Marked on the other side with what looks like an anchor hallmark or a "T conjoined with an O" and "*1*7*6*2*" with a cross.  (shown in the photos)
    Total length = 51-1/2"
    Blade length = 43-1/2"
    Weight = 3lbs. & 10 oz.
    This sword has been well cared for and is in excellent condition for 259 years old .  There are no breaks, cracks, damages or repairs.   All of the original wire grip is still intact.  There are no major chips or loss to the blade.  The blade is at its original full length and has not been ground or altered.  There are no loose parts.   It is very solid and heavy.  There is expected wear from handeling over many years(shown in the photos).
    This type of sword is very hard to find with a name and date on it.   This will make a nice addition to someone's collection.
