from live blade to practical sparring blade configuration. Adaptable to Solingen Rapier (SH2205, SH2205N), Torino Rapier (SH2204, SH2204N), Gustav Rapier (SH2206, SH2206N) and the wood grip rapier (SH1024). Many re-enactors craft their own guard and hilt.
Similar but somewhat lighter and faster than the 37” rapier blade that is used on the Swept Hilt ‘Muskateer’,

. These are hard to come by and have been out of production for quite some time, I have some in stock and they are already backordered again at CAS Iberia.

In this case ‘converted quickly’ apparently means 30 minutes or so! We’ve used two of these so far (replaced an older Torino rapier and converted my wood grip 3-ring rapier). Message me if you’d like details. In both cases we were very happy with final results.

. See close-up photos to get an idea of the solid construction with thick Ricasso and tang, no welds. This blade has superb strength and flexibility as well.
I've used every rapier that I list on eBay, sparring weekly with my local Adria group and competing monthly in Imperial events. This is the one I've settled on as being the one that best fits my style of fighting, equally balanced between cutting and thrusting. Of the 4 blades I offer it is the best combination of length, weight, and strength. All these I've tested so far meet the requirements for Renaissance style rapier.
You can pay twice as much from a custom forge and not get a higher quality blade - I have one that I paid a fortune for and it often gets a bend in the end that I have to straighten out. I'm a collector and a weekend warrior,
I sell what I own and recommend. See my seller ratings and buy with confidence. Plus I ship fast :) Any questions just ask.

1566 is a high-carbon and manganese spring steel used by Hanwei in many of their differentially hardened Japanese swords and through-hardened medieval swords. This deep hardening steel provides a consistent microstructure ensuring a long life and excellent edge holding in demanding applications.
