Rapier is a common name for number of different types of medieval swords  in XV-XVII. This rapier is a sword with a long, narrow blade and a  basket or cup hilt for protection of hand.
Functional highest-quality Musketeer blade  blunt tip that is covered with a plastic point and wound with tape..  Handle is plastic; pommel, guard, and quillion are steel.
Tang is about 7.5 inches long and is threaded 6 x 1mm metric.
Carbon steel blade--will bend up/down when touch is made and is durable; you can also make "cut" touches with this blade.  Tip is covered with a plastic point and wound with tape.
