Lionel Pre War 216 Ballast Car Box 220 Standard Gauge
This is an original pre war Lionel standard gauge box. The end of the box is stamped 220 which is for a search light car. A pre war search light car doesn't fit in the box. The inside flap is stamped for a 216 which is a ballast car that would fit in the box. Someone also write in pencil on the box that brown freight coal car. The box has wear and tear and stains as you can see. It is complete with all flaps and in solid condition except for the one broken corner as you can see. The box measures 15 X 5 1/2 X 3 3/4 inches tall. Look at the photos to judge the condition for yourself.
