    Description

    "Oscar" is an articulated artist's mannequin with molded Bakelite, Wirt Plastic Body, machined steel screws and brass joints. He has been very well loved and used, over the last century, by some extremely amazing & talented artists. He has slight damage to his left upper arm & missing part of his left hand (see pics) This cool guy, also has an extremely rare, white painted overlay, which looks to be from shortly after he was crafted. On his back, is an impressed manufacturer's mark to verso ‘Atsco Oscar 8911 1/2 Sunset-Los Angeles’. He also sports an incised mark to the underside of his pelvis, with ‘Wirt Plastic LA. Cal'.
