This is a solid brass basket hilt off of Windlass Steelcrafts' brass hilted Scottish broadsword. This listing includes the pommel, pommel cap, red liner, and guard itself. No blade or grip. The piece seems to be quite solid and has some weight to it. The pommel cap is a 5/16 thread and goes right on top of the solid brass faceted wheel pommel; as seen in pictures 2 and 3. The hole in the top of the guard fits nicely to the bottom ring of the pommel. The liner looks like flannel, and is stiffened with a copper wire around the edge. This is ready to be fitted to another blade. Perhaps a backsword, or a Cutlass, or a saber blade. Or perhaps to a long dagger blade for a nifty sidearm. The possibilities are endless.
